Ben and Shannon's wedding was one filled to the brim with love and beauty. Their wedding day could not have been more perfect, with clear blue skies, the gentlest little breeze, and fields of long grass and rolling hills on the very edge of Canberra. They were also fortunate enough that a whole bunch of their loved ones came together to help make the wedding a success. It started with the hairstylist, who did Shannon's mum's hair on her wedding day in 1969, and again this time for Shannon. Shannon's cousin Lily did her makeup, her bridesmaid Alex made the stunning cake, and a family friend put together the colourful bouquets and florals for the groomsmen. The ceremony was officiated by Father Steven, also a relative, the dessert spread was made by Shannon's mum, her bridesmaid Alex and cousin Lito. Another friend was the MC, and Shannon herself did the embellishments on her gorgeous Flannel dress. Then there was Ben's family flew halfway around the world from the UK to be there for the celebrations, and last but not least, our very own Vicki happens to be Shannon's second cousin!
A daytime wedding, with the ceremony in the morning and a lunchtime reception in the local community hall, this wedding was perfect for us film lovers, with the most beautiful natural light all day long. We loved everything about this wedding from the location and the colours, to the energy and the dancing! Thank you so much for having us there Ben and Shannon, and of course to your gorgeous son Miles for being our wonderful Camera assistant on the day. Congratulations again!
